Dr. Terry Goforth was a Professor of Engineering Physics at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) from 1989 – 2026. She specialized in Cosmology and Atomic Physics. Dr. Goforth is now a Faculty Emeriti.

BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Goforth has taught at SWOSU since 1989. She is a SWOSU alumni, having received her Bachelor’s degree from SWOSU in 1981. She went on to receive her PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 1990. Much of her research involved solar eclipse safety and education. She served as the coordinator of the Engineering Physics division and oversaw independent student-led research projects.
